Dominic Dufault and Gino Clair Score Top Five Finishes in DIRTcar 358 Event at Le RPM Speedway on Friday Night; Mario Clair 5th at Brighton

The 2014 season continued this weekend as the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series traveled to Le RPM Speedway on Friday night before making the long haul to Brighton Speedway on Saturday evening. Lafrance Performance was well represented on Friday night with several drivers in the field, while Mario Clair displayed the Lafrance Performance banner at Brighton.

On Friday at Le RPM Speedway Dominic Dufault continued his strong season with an impressive third place finish in the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series. Gino Clair also had a fifth place finish and Alain Boisvert finishing seventh.

Mario Clair made the 5 hour trip from Le RPM Speedway to Brighton, Ontario for their annual Applefest Shootout. Clair was the defending race winner and was looking for more of the same this year. After starting the race in 11th place, Clair worked his way through the field to finish with a solid fifth place result.

Several of the Lafrance Performance clients are now in preparation mode for Super DIRT Week XLIII at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse from October 8 to 12. Alain Boisvert, Mario Clair and Billy Dunn will all have Lafrance Performance motors under their hood of their 358 Modified.

Gino Clair Earns Lafrance Performance Performer of the Week With a Pair of Top Five Finishes to Close Out 2014 Regular Season

Although the 2014 racing season has all but come and gone, with the regular season coming to a halt this past weekend, there are still plenty of big events on the horizon as Lafrance Performance and their clients look to make their mark.

At Autodrome Granby on Friday night, Gino Clair led the Lafrance Performance team with a solid fourth place finish. Alain Boisvert also had a strong night, bringing home a great sixth place finish in the night’s 75 lap main event. Boisvert finished out the 2014 campaign at Granby second overall in the battle for the track title, while Mario and Gino Clair also had a strong season, both finishing amongst the top ten.

The action moved on to Autodrome Drummond the following night and once again it was Gino Clair with a second place finish coming out on top from the Lafrance Performance shop. Gino finished two positions ahead of brother Mario, who crossed the finish line in fourth place. Gino finished the season in 3rd place at Drummond, just five points ahead of Mario who finished 4th overall in the championship standings. Dominic Dufault also had a strong season, coming home in the ninth position.

Twice is Nice as Lafrance Performance Goes to Victory Lane With Gino Clair at Autodrome Granby and Dominic Dufault at Le RPM Speedway

With rainouts all around last week, Lafrance Performance engines sat idle, but they were roaring for action this week when they returned to action at local Speedway’s in Quebec and Ontario.

Gino Clair got the great weekend started with his win at Autodrome Granby on Friday night, with fellow Lafrance Performance client and sibling Mario Clair finishing in second place. Alain Boisvert also had a strong night with a seventh place finish. Gino started in fifth and drove to the front of the pack just past the half way point of the 30 lap event.

The following night at RPM Speedway, Dominic Dufault made his way to victory lane, picking up a great win in the first of two 40 lap features of the night. Mario Clair finished the race in second place, while Gino produced another strong performance finishing in fifth. In the second feature, Mario Clair led the Lafrance Performance team with a third place finish while, Dominic Dufault and Gino Clair finished fifth and sixth respectively.

With his outstanding win on Saturday night, Dominic Dufault is this week’s Lafrance Performance driver of the week.

Jason Riddell is Lafrance Performance Performer of the Week After a Near Win in 60 Lap Feature on Saturday Night at Brockville Speedway

It was another solid week for Lafrance Performance this past week as our clients battled at Autodrome Granby, Le RPM Speedway, Brockville Speedway and Cornwall Speedway.

Alain Boisvert topped the list at Autodrome Granby on Friday night with a strong sixth place finish, while Mario Clair led the Lafrance Performance team at Le RPM Speedway on Saturday. The highlight of the week came at Brockville Speedway as Jason Riddell drove his Lafrance Performance powered car to a second place finish, and almost won their 60 lap main event on Saturday night. Riddell led from lap 30 to lap 55, and battled back to lead one more lap as the final laps counted down.

With his outstanding finish on Saturday night at Brockville, Jason Riddell is this week’s Lafrance Performance performer of the week winner.

“Super” Mario Clair Goes to Victory Lane at Autodrome Drummond With His Lafrance Performance Powered Small Block Modified

After posting several top five and top 10 finishes last week, Lafrance Performance returns to victory lane this past weekend with Mario Clair at Autodrome Drummond.

Clair took the lead on lap 40 of the 75 lap main event and never looked backed picking up the win. Clair also had a 7th place finish in a 50 lap event at Autodrome Granby and sixth at Cornwall in their 100 lap Canadian Nationals Series. Clair is the current points leader in the Canadian Nationals with one event remaining.

Alain Boisvert and Gino Clair both took their Lafrance Performance powered cars to top 10 finishes at Granby while Dominic Dufault accomplished the same at Autodrome Drummond.

Alain Boisvert Leads the Way for Lafrance Performance With Second Place Finish at Autodrome Granby; Several Others With Top Ten Results

Lafrance Performance just missed victory lane over the weekend as several drivers posted top five and top 10 finishes using Lafrance Performance power at area race tracks including Autodrome Granby, Autodrome Drummond, Brockville Speedway and Mohawk International Raceway.

Alain Boisvert led the way at Autodrome Granby with a strong second place finish on Friday night. Gino and Mario Clair also had top ten finishes at Granby.

Last week at Mohawk, Travis Stacey recorded a strong fifth place finish at MIR, while Chris Raabe posted a second place result. Jason Riddell had a top five at Brockville Speedway.

At Autodrome Drummond this week, Dominic Dufault was the top finishing Lafrance Performance driver, coming in sixth place. Gino Clair also had a top ten finish at Drummond.

Mario Clair Takes Lafrance Performance Power to Victory Lane on Friday Night at Autodrome Granby

After a win last week at RPM Speedway Mario Clair parked his Lafrance Performance powered Modified in Victory lane again this week at Autodrome Granby on Friday night. On Saturday night, Gino Clair had a solid second place finish, with other Lafrance performance cars strong inside the top ten.

Lafrance Performance had a good night at Granby on Friday night. In addition to the 50 lap win for Mario Clair, his brother Gino had a 7th place result and Alain Boisvert finished in 9th.

At Autodrome Drummond the following night, it was Gino Clair with a strong second place finish, highlighting the evening for the Lafrance Performance camp. Dominique Dufault also had a strong finish, coming in sixth place in the 75 lap feature.
