Billy Dunn Gets Second Place Finish in 358 Modified Event at Super DIRT Week Using a Lafrance Performance Engine

Watertown, New York racer Billy Dunn had a Lafrance Performance motor in his Modified at the Gander Mountain 150 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York back in October, and he was able to drive to an outstanding second place finish in the premier event for the 358 Modified class.

Dunn was fast all week in his Lafrance Performance powered car, posting the fifth fastest speed overall in time trials out of the 61 cars that attempted a lap.  He finished third in his qualifying heat race, and ran up consistently during the race.

Gino Clair Has High Hopes in 2013 With Lafrance Performance Power


It was another solid season for Gino Clair in 2012 utilizing his Lafrance Performance power, finishing in the top six in points at both Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond, and picking up a win on May 18th at the hometown Drummondville, Quebec track.

Gino Clair has been using the Lafrance Performance Power for a couple years already, and will be back in 2013 looking to improve on the results from this past season.  Gino races weekly at Autodrome Granby and Drummond as well as other select events in Quebec and Ontario.

Steve Nadeau Captures Autodrome Granby Rookie of the Year Award With Lafrance Performance Power


After making the move from the Sportsman division, Steve Nadeau adapted quickly to the 358 Modified ranks with the help of Lafrance Performance.  Steve finished 13th overall in points at Autodrome Granby, and claimed Rookie of the Year honors at the track in 2012.

Nadeau will be back in 2013 looking for bigger an better results as he returns with his Lafrance Performance powered Bicknell car for the new season.  The St. Robert, Quebec racer will be aiming for his first career win in the 358 Modified ranks in his sophomore season.

Alain Boisvert Joins Lafrance Performance for 2013 Campaign


After finishing the 2012 season in fourth place overall at Autodrome Granby, Alain Boisvert will be looking to improve on that with a Lafrance Performance racing engine under the hood of his car in 2013.

Boisvert finished the year with one feature win and 13 top ten finishes in 16 weekly events at Granby this past season.  He also competed in the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar events in Quebec, and four DIRTcar 358 Modified DIRTcar series races.  The Montreal, Quebec racer will be looking to improve those stats when the green flag drops to commence the new season.

Yan Bussiere Teams Up With Lafrance Performance Late in 2012 Season


It didn’t take long for Yan Bussiere to find success after installing his Lafrance Performance motor in his 358 Modified.  He won a feature event at Autodrome Drummond and finished in the top 10 in overall track points at both Drummond and Autodrome Granby.

Bussiere will be back with Lafrance Performance in 2013 and together they will be looking to improve on their points position of this past season, and looking to add a few more wins.

Yan Bussiere competes weekly at Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond and also races occasionally at Le RPM Speedway, Cornwall Motor Speedway and Brockville Ontario Speedway.

Lafrance Performance and the REVSTAR Series will be back together for another season in 2013, as Lafrance Performance continues the role as official engine builder of the popular series.

Mario Clair Joins Forces With Lafrance Performance in 2013


One of the most successful 358 Modified racer’s from the province of Quebec will now be even stronger in 2013 with Lafrance Performance power under the hood of his car once the season gets underway.

With nearly 30 358 Modified wins in his career already, Clair was the DIRTcar 358 Modified overall champion in 2007.  The Drummondville, Quebec racer joins his brother Gino as Lafrance Performance clients.

Etienne Girard Competed With the Empire Super Sprints in 2012 With his Lafrance Performance Powerplant


Etienne Girard of Saint-Germain, Quebec made his 360 Sprint car debut early in 2012 with Lafrance Performance power.  In his rookie season with the Empire Super Sprints, Girard finished 18th overall in points and just missed winning the series Rookie of the Year award.  He also finished 14th in the ESS Canadian Series and 12th in the Fondations 4 Saisons Quebec Five Star Series.

Chris Raabe Takes Lafrance Performance Small Block to Victory Lane Against Big Block Super Stars at Cornwall

It was arguably one of the biggest upsets in recent memory in the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series when Napanee, Ontario racer Chris Raabe took his Lafrance Performance powered 358 Modified to victory lane against the more powerful Big Block Modified counterparts.  Raabe's biggest win of his young career came in dominating fashion, leading 80 of the 100 laps, taking home the $6000 to win payday after beating some of the best drivers in the sport today.
"This win is pretty big for us," said the 21-year-old Raabe. "It's hard to get out there and get yourself known unless you win some of these series races. When you're at Cornwall will a small block against the Big Blocks, it's pretty special."
