It was another great weekend of racing for Lafrance Performance and their stable of drivers throughout Ontario and Quebec. After posting wins last week at Drummond and Cornwall with Mario Clair and Michel Chicoine, Lafrance Performance was looking to keep the strong finishes coming once again, as teams battled at RPM Speedway on Saturday night and Cornwall Speedway on Sunday. Both Autodrome Granby and Mohawk Raceway were cancelled due to heavy rain that developed on Friday afternoon.
At RPM Speedway in St. Marcel, Quebec it was Chris Raabe taking the win in the 100 lap race, putting his Lafrance Performance powered machine up front early and held off all challengers later in the race. Daniel Nadeau also posted a strong top five finish in this race.
The Chris Raabe show continued at Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night, as he went back to victory lane for the second time in as many nights. Raabe powered to the lead on lap three and went unchallenged throughout the event. Mario Clair, Gabriel Richer and Michel Chicoine all posted solid top ten finishes at Cornwall utilizing their Lafrance Performance power.
With his double wins on the weekend, Chris Raabe is without a doubt, this week’s Lafrance Performance Performer of the Week. Congratulations to Chris Raabe and the entire 01 race team.
